Instructions
Step 1: Download the Business Expense Estimate Template
- Click the "Download" button or link for the detailed expense estimate template.
- Save the .xlsx file to your computer.
Step 2: Edit the Template
- Open the downloaded file in Microsoft Excel.
- Fill in the "Planned expenses" and "Actual expenses" columns for each category.
- The "Expense variances" and "Variance percentage" columns will calculate automatically.
- Edit or add new categories as needed in the "Expense category" column.
- The bar chart will automatically update based on the data entered.
Step 3: Customize the Design
- Use the Home tab to modify font styles or colors to match your company’s branding.
- Replace "ABC Company" with your organization’s name at the top of the template.
Step 4: Print or Share the Template
- Check the Print Preview to ensure the data and chart are properly aligned on the page.
- Adjust the page orientation to Landscape for optimal layout.
- Save the file as a PDF if you need to share it digitally.
- Select your printer and press Print if you need a hard copy.
