Instructions

Step 1: Download the Wedding Budget Template

  • Click the "Download" button or link for the wedding budget template.
  • Save the .xlsx file to your computer.

Step 2: Edit the Template

  • Open the downloaded file in Microsoft Excel.
  • Replace the default budget value with your total planned wedding budget.
  • Adjust the "Allocation %" column to reflect how much of your total budget you want to dedicate to each category (e.g., reception, attire, flowers).
  • The "Allocated Budget" column will automatically update based on the percentages entered.
  • Fill in "Estimated Costs" for each category to plan expenditures.
  • As you spend, update the "Actual Costs" column to track real expenses.

Step 3: Analyze the Budget

  • Compare allocated budgets with estimated and actual costs to stay on track.
  • Identify Overages:
  • Use the template to spot areas where you might need to reallocate funds.

Step 4: Customize the Design

  • Personalize the Header:
  • Replace the names and title at the top with your own wedding details.
  • Adjust Colors and Fonts:
  • Use the Home tab to modify colors or fonts to fit your wedding theme.

Step 5: Print or Save the Template

  • Open File > Print in Excel.
  • Check the Print Preview to ensure all columns and rows fit properly on the page.
  • Choose Landscape orientation for a better layout.
  • Save the file as a PDF for sharing with your wedding planner or key stakeholders.
  • Select your printer and press Print if you need a hard copy.
