Instructions
Step 1: Download the Personal Budget Template
Click the "Download" button or link for the detailed personal budget template. Save the .xlsx file to your computer.
Step 2: Edit the Template
- Locate the downloaded file on your device and double-click it to open in Microsoft Excel.
- Enter your monthly income for each category (e.g., salary, bonuses) in the "Income" section for the corresponding months.
- Fill in the "Expenses" section with your spending in categories like housing, utilities, transportation, and entertainment.
- Break down expenses into subcategories (e.g., rent, groceries) as listed in the template.
- Review Yearly Totals:
- The template automatically calculates monthly and yearly totals for income, expenses, and savings, providing a clear overview of your financial status.
- Customize as Needed:
- Adjust or add new rows to include custom expense categories.
- Use the Home tab to modify text, colors, or formatting.
Step 3: Print the Template
- Open File > Print in Excel.
- Check the Print Preview to ensure the budget layout fits neatly on the page.
- Adjust settings as needed:
- Use Landscape orientation for better visibility of all months.
- Confirm the paper size (commonly A4 or Letter).
- Select your printer and press Print.
